same sex marriage

i am current married to a lady and i live in mass and she lives in canada, i was wondering if mass reconizes it? and if we were to get a divorice would i be able to file down here or do i have to go up to canada?

Same sex marriages are allowed and recognized in MA. You would have to get divorced where the parties last lived together, unless you both agreed otherwise in writing. If you have any other questions please call or email.

It depends on the issue of residence, jurisdiction and service.

It seems that if you establish residence in Massachusetts, and you have a valid copy of your marriage certificate, given Massachusetts law, you may be able to begin the process.
