Divorce is a civil matter and therefore legal counsel is not required even in contempt matters. If you feel your son needs legal representation, you can retain legal counsel for him.

He is probably being denied visitation related to his current alcohol, drug and mental issues. Your best way forward is to get him into a rehab program; hire an attorney and move for a support modification which would be based on his entering a rehab program and eventually getting a job.

If you would like a referral to an attorney who can be of assistance to you, I would be happy to make one for you. This is not the type of case I personally handle.
