Hello,
Each parent has the right to exercise their own judgment when they are caring for their child. However, if one parent believes that the other parent is not acting in the best interests of the child, then they can move forward and ask for assistance from the court to limit/modify the current parenting order.
Thank you,
His girl friend cannot tell him who to date but as attorney Urukalo said when caring for a child it is important to act appropriately and in the best interest of the child.
If the girlfriend does drugs, has a drinking problem or acts in what generally would be considered an in appropriate manner around the child, the mother of the child can seek the court to intervene. However, absent a legitamate case for in appropriate behavior or abuse, your son can see who he wants when he wants.
However, he should remember the visits are for him and his child to bond, not for him and his girl friend to bond with his daughter.
