Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Spouse has filed a motion to have me vacate home

There is a hearing scheduled for this motion. If I vacate the home prior to the hearing date, am I still required to attend the hearing? As I do not have the financial resources to hire an attorney, I plan to represent myself during the divorce proceedings.

Perhaps you might want to consult an attorney as to the advisability of vacating the home and whether that is the only subject to be addressed at the motion hearing. You might also inquire as to your potential for filing your own motion for an allowance from your spouse for attorney's fees to defend against the divorce.
