Re: stubborn child,
You should go to the local District Court in your
location and ask to speak to a probation officer
about your son. (If you live in a county in which
there is a Juvenile Court, you should go there
instead). Tell the probation officer about the
problems you are having and ask him or her if you
should file a CHINS petition. CHINS stands for
Children in Need of Services. This is a civil
proceeding, (not criminal). If a CHINS is not
appropriate ask what other options he or she would
recommend. Good Luck.
