Summons

I received a summons via through work by mail to appear in a domestic abuse case, do I have to go and what happens if I do not and if I have to go can I plead the 5th amendment

You can always refuse to testify in matters with potential criminal consequences. That is your right under the Federal 5th Amendment and the Massachusetts Declaration of Rights.

You should get a lawyer RIGHT AWAY and get in-office advice.
