Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

support

My two daughters were living in my care in Springfield, MA from 06 June 2001 until 24 August 2001. During this time my wife continued to recieve her child support payment but never sent a dime to me during this time. I would like to know if it is possible and how would I go about filing for compensation during that time.

Re: support

Child support can only change based upon a court order. Massachusetts does not allow changes prior to the filing of a complaint for modification. Therefore, you can't change your child support for last summer.

A court is not likely to modify child support for summer visitation. The custodial parent still has to provide shelter for the return of the child, clothes for the child, and other expenses for the child.
