taxes dependent claim divorce

If in the divorce cree the father gets to claim the children on the taxes 5 years ago and the mother was not working at the time but now the mother goes back to work and the chidlren have always lived with her and she contributes more then 50 percent can she get it modified to now claim the children on taxes?

As a previous answer stated, you have the right to seek a modification. However, be aware that there is a standard that must be met. Retain an attorney to file a complaint for modification which requires you prove a material change in circumstances. Good Luck and Happy New Year.

You have the right to seek a modification. The final determination would be the court's, if an agreement cannot be made.
