Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

The term "proposed judgment" appears in papers given to me concerning the Sept. 3,2010 custody trial. I am to submit this no later than 3 working days following the trial. What is this?

Hello,

A proposed judgment is what you would want the judge to order at the end of the trial. A proposed judgment shoud be submitted at the end of the trial with a findings of fact and memorandum. A judge usually will allow a period of time after the trial each party has to submit their findings.

I strongly suggest you retain or at least consult with a family law attorney. A custody trial is very serious and can be complicated.
