Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
Unmarried 17 years 2 children now, he wants out
we have been together 17 years unmarried in MA. together we have 2 children and custody of his only other child. We STILL live together. Recently he informed me he no longer loves me and wants out. EVERYTHING is in his name, house, cars, bills... Tuesday his married ''girlfriend'' called my job and threatened me from NJ. When I spoke to him about it I thought it ended rather well for the topic at hand. Later he called to inform me that he was putting our home on the market for sale! I need some help. I have not a dime, no where to move with my children and his actions and behavior is getting worse. Went to family court yesterday and the ''attorney of the day'' told me ''sad story, but unfortunately your screwed'' what am I to do now? I looked back through here for an attorney who ansered some general questions for me a few months ago and could not find my question, I thought his name was HALL from Quincy or Braintree but no luck. Please help.
PS: Half of my pay check goes directly into his savings account to pay the household bills every week and has for years. we now have no hot water, and he has shut off the cable on the children, any suggestions?
Thank you

You might consider filing a Paternity action with assistance of Dept. of Revenue, Child Support Enforcement Office located in Probate and Family Court to obtain child support and custody orders for a start, to be followed with a Palimony Action.
