Visitation with Absent Parent

I was wondering if anyone knows of a typical visitation schedule for a 4 year old whose father has NEVER been involved. Will they allow overights right away? She does not do well with transition at all, would it be good to a child psychologist involved before court? Any information or advice would be of great help. Thanks.

Re: Visitation with Absent Parent

Under these circumstances, there would be a period of introduction. Counseling would make good sense, and both parents should be involved (alternately, not at the same time).

It is difficult to specify when overnights would happen. I would expect the non-overnight introduction process to take more than three months, less than three years. That's a very wide target.
