Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts

Visitation rights

My children reside in Massachusettes, but I am not being allowed to talk to them or set up visitation. Our divorce and custody judgements are in Illinois, and verbally I did

agree to them moving to Massachusettes, but now I am relocating to Ma, so that I may be apart of thier lives. I and my family here in Alabama have tried to send letters to them but have not heard whether they have received them. My ex husband seems to think I have no rights to them even though he only has joint custody. Please respond, this has got to get settled in Massachusettes court. There seems to be no other way. I need to hire a lawyer to get this settled once and for all.

Please contact our office. We will need to know how long the children have been residing on Massachusetts in order to establish a new custody arrangement.

Attorney James P. Hall from our Family Law Section will do a telephone consult with you at no cost. You may reach him at (888) 821-9716, or (978) 250-4255. Alternatively, you may e-mail me and I will forward your information to him so that he may contact you.
