Legal Question in Family Law in Massachusetts
visition/ custody
my sister had ended up in rehab twice. yes she made some bad choices. the father if her 4yr old son had got temp. custody. and she has to be supervised visit's. without a car she had a hard time getting to the meeting's she had to go to. well she had to go back to court and it didnt look good for her. the judge wasnt listening to her any more. the father isnt making it easy for her.she has to beg to see her son. and he sometimes lets her and there are days where she cant see him at all. i change my life around and cancell my plans just so my sister can see her son. i am the only one that the father trusts with their son. i know she made made some stupid mistakes in her life. but that little boys keeps asking me when is he going to get to go back to mommy's. what do you tell a 4yr old. please if you can help me. i thank you.

Re: visition/ custody
You should tell a 4-year-old nothing. His mother did not just make bad choices; she was addicted to something which made it difficult or impossible to properly care for her son. THe best that you can do is be available. When your sister is truly in control of her addiction (not the other way around), and the courts have good reason to believe this, she may obtain less restrictive visitation.
