waITING PERIOD TO REMARRIE

can you tell me what the waiting period to remarrie in massachusetts is after a divorce. and can go to another state to remarrie. like florida and not have a waiting period.my court date is in dec. non contested (we have a agreement all set) and will be in florida in feb would like to remarrie. have been seperated for 4 years. thank you

In Massachusetts, a person can marry immediately after the Decree Absolute issues. This issues 90 days after the Decree Nisi. The Decree Nisi issues day of you divorce or thirty days after approval of the separation agreement if that is how you got divorced. The easist way to know is to go to the court and purchase a decree absolute.
