Will me ex husband still be required to pay child support if my youngest son goes to barber school? My ex is telling me that a trade school isn't the same as college and he will ask for a reduction in child support

Assuming that your son does not earn sufficient money while in barber school to support himself and pay for his education, he will still be dependent on his parents and child support should continue. You should check the wording of your divorce judgment or separation agreement. It could specifiy college or it could say post high school education. You may need to file a modification to keep the child support if the wording of the judgment does not clearly cover a trade school.
