Legal Question in Medical Leave in Massachusetts
I am on FMLA because of epilepsy, my employer just put me on a week's unpaid suspension because they said they saw me playing basketball one day, what are my rights and what are the rules? My neurologist said to go out and get exercising for the way I've been feeling. Am I not allowed to leave my house? They also mentioned seeing me at CVS, a gas station, getting something to eat at a pizza place, and asked me why I was at a certain address (which was MY address...where I lived)...SO??

If your doctor recommends that you do these activities but still beleives that you cannot work, ask you doctor for a note explaining this and provide it to your employer, requesting that you not be suspended.
