Legal Question in Medical Leave in Massachusetts
Unemployment Insurance
My 13 year old daughter is having spinal fusion surgery this summer, I will need to take at least 10 weeks off to care for her. Will I be able to collect unemployment insurance while on leave?

Unfortunately no. But you can use any accrued vacation and sick time you have while on FMLA leave in order to be compensated for at least a portion of the leave.
