Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

I am acting pro se. in civil litigation. Defendant is is represented. In responding to discovery, the defendant is signing the discovery and the attorney is only signing "as to the objections" I have never seen this before. Is this proper?

My first bit of advice is that you retain counsel to represent you.

Civil litigation can be complex, and you don't want to make a mistake that will cost you the case. The attorney is signing as to any objections made by him or her on behalf of the party and that is entirely appropriate. Best of luck!
