Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

Damage to my car

My car was parked in the parking lot of the condo complex where I live. The snow plow hit my car, causing damage, but there were no witnesses. The man who caused the damage is not returning my calls. I don't know where to turn. The police say it's private property and they can't help me. If I put an article in the newspaper telling everyone about what this man did to me, can he sue me? He doesn't deserve to get away with this.

Re: Damage to my car

Turn the matter over to your insurance company if you have comprehensive coverage; they will pay for it and sue him for the money. If not, either sue him or the condo complex.

Re: Damage to my car

Contact your insurance company immediately. An insurance company *may* deny coverage to you under provisions of your underinsured/uninsured motorist protection if you unreasonably delay notifying them of your claim.
