grandfather clauses

I signed a grandfather clause for payments at a medical facility. Now they are raising my rates. Is this legal?

Re: grandfather clauses

It depends (doesn't it always?) on the wording of the signed agreement. I might wish to have your legal expert re-examine the signed document(s) to define your present legal rights.

Re: grandfather clauses

You should take the agreement back to the attorney who assisted you in drafting or negotiating it, and solicit his or her opinion.

If you did not use a lawyer, perhaps you should have. You will now need to take the agreement to an attorney after the fact to see if anything can be done.
