Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts
Harrassment
There is another family in our neighborhood that is constantly harrassing my family. We have already been to court twice with this family and do not know where to turn next. Now the mother of this family is now telling our other neighbors that my husband is a very dangerous person and to not allow their children to play with my children. This woman has taken my husband to court for threat of murder, he was found innocent of this false accusation, still she continues to spread thesse rumors around the neighborhood. I just would like information on what to do next, we have exhausted all legal avenues that we know of and have yet to resolve this matter. Please help if you can. Thank you!

Re: Harrassment
It is time to contact a civil litigation attorney & file suit in court.
Re: Harrassment
I was once told that an individual citizen is as likely to find justice acting on their own in court, as a sick person is to find a cure by wandering through a hospital without a Doctor.
Unfortunately, by trying to act on your own, you may have lost the right to bring actions or seek relief that would have been available to you if you had an attorney bring them on your behalf.
That said, you should speak to an attorney about a civil lawsuit for slander. A good attorney is going to cost you a significant amount of money. If this is important, find a way to raise that money, because you need a good attorney, and not someone who will "write a few letters" for you. As you have seen, there is little you can do on your own in these very touchy situations. You may also have an action for malicious prosecution. These are difficult cases for seasoned attorneys, and nearly impossible for the ordinary citizen. Get professional help from an attorney.
