Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

Can the law protect my son from harrassment?

In the 5th grade, my son got beaten up by a older boy at school. Now, two yrs. later he is still being harrassed about this everyday. They call him a pansy, mama's boy whimp, etc. It's driving him crazy. What can I do or can the law help me to stop this?

My son is being harassed on the school bus. We got

names. Not sure whether to go see the kids' parents

or just go to the school and see what they do about

it, but I'm inclined to start at the school. If you

send me private e-mail ([email protected]) I will

keep you posted.

Re: Can the law protect my son from harrassment?

It's a very difficult problem. VERY.

Perhaps the school personnel can be enlisted to help

solve the problem. Number 1 step is to identify

those who are harassing him now and to inform their

teachers and parents. If the school itself does not

help, and you are in Mass., I could call the school

for you if you like.

I don't think you're looking for financial penalties

to be applied, just for the behavior to stop, right?
