Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

What should I do when my neighbor threaten to sue me for alleged excessive noise

My downstairs neighbor wrote me a letter saying she had been

told by an attorney that she could take me to Small Claims

Court and ask for $5000 in damages for deliberate and

excessive noise. However, nobody is deliberately making any

excessive noise. I have a 18-month old daughter and she

plays and walks in the condo as any other kids. She usually

goes to bed before 9 PM and goes to daycare during weekdays.

My wife and I are all very careful and try to be quiet when

we are at home. Should I hire an attorney to defend my right

of normal activities at home?
