Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts
I owed a credit card company money and retained a bankruptcy attorney to review, during the interim the credit card company filed for a judgement was awarded a no fault ruling and than 3 days later filed for execution. neither my attorney or myself were ever notified. Than 8 mon. later they filed for a sheriff sale and placed a lien against my house. I was notified by the sherrif and that was the only notification I ever received to know this lawsuit existed. What do I do now.

My question for you is whether you filed bankruptcy during the period between when you had the attorney "review" and the timing of the lien. If you did file bankruptcy, call your attorney, or if you want, call me - you may have a very good claim.
If you didn't file bankruptcy, you may argue that service by the credit card company was improper, that the judgment and execution are void, and that the credit card company's lawsuit must be dismissed, again - if you literally NEVER knew of the lawsuit until the sale, call your attorney, or contact me: 617-230-2779.
