Process for pursuing ltitgation

If I intend to sue company A in a civil matter because I feel that I have been harmed and the value is over $1 million, what is notification process to the defendant and how when and where do notify the courts of my intent?

You pay a filing fee in the Superior Court and a complaint that must comply with the rules of civil procedure.
