Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

Public Information Removed?

A state employee posts on the state website ''Company X claims they provide this service at this address but I checked and they can not be found''.

Company X in fact is located at the address in question and it's just that the employee did bad research. Does company X have the legal right to have the information removed or because it is public information it must stay? What if they refuse to remove it?
