Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

My Rights

My landlord while intoxicted forced his way into my home.He pleaded guilty to all charges. After the criminal charges do I have any other rights to take him to court.Like ruining my quite enjoyment as I was a good tenant who always payed my rent on time.As since i moved right out. What gives him the right to bring his domestic violence into my home as we lived side by side in a two family dwelling. What rights does a tenant really have.

Re: My Rights

Very definitely, under Massachusetts law, you do have a right to civil

damages. There's a procedure to go through to make that

claim, which I can handle for you, and I'd like to do.

What city/town did you live in?

What's your current address and phone number?

Were you present for his criminal convinction?

I would probably take your case on a contingency fee basis.

Tell me about your 'damages' if there were any.

Give me a call, please, SOON, at (617) 527-0050, or if you are

out of the Boston area, use (888) 527-0050.

Besides calling, please send me all the pertinent data. Thank you.

Re: My Rights

Yes you can sue him for a restraining order and damages. Since he was criminally

prosecuted he has no right to invade your home. A tenant has the same rights to

exclusive possession of their home as a homeowner has.
