Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts
a former roommate had 1,200$ in his bank account. the money was from me and my current roommate. the bank had foreclosed the property but was going to accept rent payments, but they ended up kicking us out instead, so they never collected the 1,200$. upon trying to get the money back, our former roommate informed me over facebook that he had spent it all. there are messages on 2 separate dates, 2 months apart from each other, where our former roommate admits to owing us money. would it be foolish to open a small claims case?
