Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

scanning checks

I belong to a club and I found out that the treasurer is scaning club members checks before he deposits them. Is it legal to scan checks for bookeeping purposes without telling the owner of the check(s)? I'm worried about having the info that's on my check and a didgital image of my signature on a private person's computer. He is saving it on an external hard drive.

Thank you for your time.

: scanning checks

I do not see anything wrong with keeping records of incoming documents. If you find it objectionable. discuss this with the bookkeeper.
