What if I don't stand up for a judge in a court room?

If you are disabled or unable to stand, please let someone know right at the beginning. There is nothing wrong with that. Otherwise, you will be prompted to stand by the bailiff or the judge. Whatever you are hoping to accomplish by being in court, you jeopardize it by not following court rules and decorum.

I agree with Attorney Vaughn-Martel. Moreover, you should bear in mind that the judge has the power to find you in contempt of court and impose penalties, if he/she determines that your behavior is sufficiently egregious.
