Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts
I am being sued in small claims court for $560 by a Veternarian. I keep getting calls from them telling me the court date (tomorrow) I asked them if t he court would set up a payment plan,
She said I would be held in contempt if I did not pay the whole amount, since I was working (I am self employed and receive a small pension) that this would happen,.
I was also told the sheriff would come and seize my property If I did not pay . I was hoping to set up a payment plan - at this time I have only 33 cents in my bank account. I don't really have anything of value for them to take,

Go to court and tell the judge you want a payment plan. Don't agree to a plan you can't pay.
