Unsure If I can Sue?

Is it possible to sue my landlord for allowing her grandson to steal from me and then not wanting to compensate me after saying she would. I was scared to file a police report because she is my landlord and now because i had to replace what was stolen I am in immense amounts of debt

There is some issue related to if the woman has legal custody of her grandson. There may be other factors that rule on the landlord's liability to a tenant.

I agree with George. I also think that you should file a police report, or seek a criminal complaint to issue.
