Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts
vehicle lease vs company reimbursement problem
I leased a vehicle in 6/05. The company I work for has a reimbursement plan that will pay 72% of the monthly vehicle cost as long as the plan provisions are met. One of the provisions is that I must submit the monthly billing statement and that this statement must be solely in the employee' (my)name. The dealership asked for a co-signer which I had and said that a statement would be sent to her with her name and a copy to myself with my name and this would be no problem. For the first 3 months it was fine, seperate statements and I could get reimbursed by my company. Starting in 9/05 I stopped receiveing two copies. I called and they said they would send 2 out again. They did BUT they are both in her name. Now they are saying they can't change it and I can't get a statement in ''just '' my name. At this point I have paid out of pocket several payments (that my company can not reimburse since I could not meet the provision) The finance company is calling since I have said that I need them to do what they agreed to (The finance mngr at the dealership even said he doesn't know why they changed it and won't fix it) Now they are calling the co-signer and have been harrassing her for payments

My suggestion as a first step is that you contact the Attorney General's Consumer Complaint Division as a first step. LawGuru won't allow me to post the phone number for that office, but you can find the number in the Boston phone book.
