Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Massachusetts

VoIP Service Complaint

We recently went through 11 days of not receiving incoming phone calls at our home. We contacted the provider many times and the issue was not resolved until we contacted members of their board. During this time, any calls to our home number were answered by a recording stating to check the number - the call cannot be completed as dialed or the line may be disconnected. In addition to the stress of spending literally hours on the phone with customer support, having to provide all the information and the entire story over and over again, we have no way of knowing who may have called and was led to believe that our phone has been disconnected. The provider is compensating us for our trouble by giving us a month of free service. We would like to know if we have grounds for a law suit against them.
