Water spilled on computer
My daughter's friend put her laptop computer on a coffee table with drinks all around it. My daughter accidentally spilled her drink onto the computer. Computer will cost $750.00 to fix. Who is responsible for the $750.00? Should the cost be shared?

From your description of events, as a legal matter, I'd say your daughter's friend is responsible for what happened to her computer when she put it in harm's way. As a personal matter, however, the two friends would hopefully be able to figure out a way to resolve this between them without resorting to purely legal answers.
