Legal Question in Health Care Law in Massachusetts
Hello,
This is a healthcare law question.
My dad just got out of rehab and used up his 100 days.
However the rehab that he was in didn't tell us the correct date that the 100 days would be up.
They told us a month too late. Now they sent us a bill for $12G for one month and a lawyer
letter demanding payment.
Not sure what to do here.

I'm not sure what you mean by "his 100 days", but perhaps your father's health insurance company would only agree to pay for 100 days of treatment. I'm not sure why it is the medical provider's job to count the number of days for you, but since they appear to have tried to calculate them for you, they probably should have been more careful. I would want to see the type of notice and other communications that you received from the health care provider. They probably had no duty to manage your father's health insurance contract, but you may have a good defense if they in some way communicated to you things which were not true/accurate.
