Depending upon the size of the firm, they would need to pay either $750 or 1500, but the rest you can pay for. You need to submit documentation of your qualifications and the requirements of the position to establish it is an H-1b qualified position. There are certain fees that the employer must pay. The employee can pay for the H-1B and fees allowed to be paid by the employee if the amount being paid by the employee does not drive the wage offered by the prospective H-1B employer below the Federally mandated Prevailing Wage. The documents required for the H-1B include all of the information about your academic credentials and information about the prospective H-1B employer. The employer is only obligated to pay the training fee of $750/$1500 (depending upon the size of the company).
