immigration I-864 affidavit

I am disabled. recieve SSDI & I also work P/T. I file and pay taxes. My employment income is less than 125%. Combined income is 26k. What statute or Judicial Decision requires INS to consider my SSDI as income? They are asking for co-sponsor. I filed Schedule C & P&L and 1040. They are not considering line 20 unearned income amount (SSDI)..my Earned was 15K....unearned, (SSDI) was 11k...what should I tell them?...would like law referrence..I don't want my Pregnant wife deported..Thank You

Your wife is the intended immigrant, as such, her world-wide assets and or income may be used in conjunction with your own. A household member or co-sponsor's assets or income may also be used to help meet the income requirements.
