Legal Question in Immigration Law in Massachusetts

Naturalization & trips outside the USA

I've been a permanent resident since 1986 and am looking into anaturlaization. I and meet all the requirements for naturalization (no trips over 6 months, moral character etc.) The N-400 application asks me to list all trips over 24 hours since permanent residency. In the past 20 years I would estimate that I've made 200 trips outside the US - the vast majority for a week or less. I can't see how I will be able to determine the dates of every single trip. Can I just supply the information for the last 5 years? Or is there some way to get relief from the requirement to list all trips since I became resident?

Re: Naturalization & trips outside the USA

While it will be very time consuming, you should try to list all the trips you have taken outside of the US since becoming a Permanent Resident.

If you've kept all your passports, you can use the date stamps in there to remember the exact dates.

If you cannot remember the exact dates of some of the earlier trips, provide approximate dates and an explanation why you cannot provide exact dates.
