Legal Question in Immigration Law in Massachusetts

My parents won a green card in March 2005. We stayed 3 months in the USA and they have to returned back because of family problems in our native country-Bulgaria. At that time I was 11 years old. Since then I came every year in the USA and spend 5-6 weeks during the summer visitig my aunt and uncle. They are American citizens. I have never been out of the USA more than 1 year and I have never had problems with the immigrations getting in the USA. Now I am 18 years old and I was addmited as a student in Northeastern University, Boston. I arrived at Logan International Airport, Boston on 08.22.2012. and the immigration officer got my green card and gave me a temporary one. I have to go to a court. My questions are: What was the reason for suspending my eligibility as a permanent resident? What would be the legal ground to reestablish my permanent residency?
