Legal Question in Insurance Law in Massachusetts

rear-ended a tow truck
I was driving in-law's car and was rear-ended. The car was towed to where I live. After the truck drive lowed the car to ground and untied the tow cables, I started the car, and released the brake padel and wanted to back up the car to my driveway. However, the car somehow moved forward and bumpered into the metal bar attached to the rear end of the tow truck. The truck drive noticed the collision and looked at the metal bar and did not complain. He did not call police, nor did he ask my driver's license/insurance information. So I thought anything was fine. Now, 5 months later, I received a court notice that the insurance company is suing me for the demage. The reason that the insurance company is suing me is that the car I was driving had no insurance (which I did not know about it when the accident happened).

I contacted my own insurance company and they refused to pay for it because I told them I had used the car regularly last year. So I have to go court to contest tow truck insurance company's claim. I have a photo of the front end of the car I was driving. The photo shows that there is no damage to the bumper. My question is: would the photo be enough to prove that I did not cause any damage to the tow truck?
