snow removal

the lease I have with my tenants states they are responsible for removing the snow from their walkway and parking area but they don't like to do this. am I responsible if they slip and fall on the ice

Almost certainly, yes. Especially if others slip and fall on a walkway the tenant has not properly cleared. MA General Laws c. 186 � 15, renders invalid any lease clause which has the effect of indemnifying the landlord or exculpating him from any negligence on or about the leased premises; almost certainly including snow removal/safety.
