Legal Question in Insurance Law in Massachusetts
Is there a statute of limitations?
I damaged a piece of property with my car at a gas station in 1989. I had no insurance. There were no police reports. In 1992 my liscence was suspended. The gas stations insurance company took me to court(I DEFAULTED) and the judgement was theres for 2900.00 I attempted to make payments for a couple of months ...but stopped.
Is there a statute of limitations on the money owed? Its been 8 yrs since i talked to anyone about payments.

Re: Is there a statute of limitations?
Which court was it in? There are some 10-year
statutes of limitations on collection of the
judgment, but I'm sorry to say it might not apply
to your case. I'd need more details to be able to
tell you.
Is this something on your credit report?
(That has different rules, more favorable to you
timewise!)
