Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Massachusetts
I want to write short fiction stories and novels someday and I want to write my stories online for people to critique it, but my friend told me that someone plagiarized her work on a website for writers. My question is can I just have general works under my name or just my name copyrighted so no one can copy any of my work, or does it have to be specific work? What I mean is can someone who had the name of (for example not my name) Lola Monroe be copyrighted so no one would copyright anything under her name? Or does it have to have a book title?

You can only copyright specific works of authorship. You cannot copyright your name or a book title.
