Legal Question in Juvenile Dependency in Massachusetts

guardianship of a minor

I have teenager living with me and would like custody or legal right to make decisions about and for her. Her parents don't want to sign over the right , due to the fear they will loose the extra social security $ they get. I do not want to cause them to loose the $ or the other children. Please help!

Either make an arrangement to obtain temporary guardianship, and then seek a probate court order. There are other options, which I can discuss with you, depending on the age of the minor.
