Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts
I am an attractive young woman who enjoys unconventional relationship. The guys I'm seeing enjoy giving me money/buying me gifts for our time together. I've been talking to some guys on craigslist, how want to be 'generous' with me. Beyond safety and yada yada, I was just wondering if I would be picked up for prostitution? What language would I have to use to make sure I wasn't engaging in prostitution? Is going out for a wicked nice dinner and having him pay count if there is an explicit understanding? What if he gives me money for the cab home and he only has large bills? I've just been saying that their gifts can't have any relation to the time/activity we engage in together, but if they want to give em gifts, that sounds wonderful. Does this work?

I'm sure you know that what you are describing is prostitution or escort services. You also understand that "generous" means paying for company or services. I think if this is what you are doing, then it doesn't really matter what you call it. I'd be interested in hearing from a criminal defense attorney on the subject.
