Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Bonus Pay

I was recently notified that I would be terminated. I have agreed to stay on for one month and in return I would recieve a 2 month severance package. I should recieve a bonus for work that I did between October of last year and September of this year. Bonuses will not be payed however, until after my last scheduled day of work. Should I be payed this bonus on top of my severance package?

Re: Bonus Pay

Generally, you have to be employed on day bonsu due. There dhould be a writing stating policy. If you believe you are being fired so that they don't have to pay bonus and bonus is subststantial, you may have a basis for a lawsuit.
