Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

Brach of verbal contract

I was hired under a 90 day ''trial'' period, at the end of

which I was told I would be put on payroll. After almost 6

months my employer still has not done so. Is this

breach of contract a civil, criminal, or federal matter?

Re: Brach of verbal contract

Oral employment contracts are enforceable. However, even on payroll you can be fired at anytime for any reason. So question is practical one. If you insist will you be let go? Are you ready to be let go? Your best course of action may be to look for a new job and then quit.
