Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts
Bullying and Harrassment in the workplace
I work for a school administration in a local municipality. One of the key administrators has his wife working in a clerical position in the same building. She is the only employee in the building that has ever been disciplined (3 times), by being sent home due to her unprofessional behavior (uncontrolled outbursts). She has been demoted once. She has harassed two other employees, one she drove out, the other had to file a report with H/R only to have her job changed to another position (both employees were direct reports to this women's husband). I am friendly with these people. Two years ago I gave a letter to my supervisor acknowledging that she started on a smaller scale to harass and bully me, I was her next target. Two years later I am under full attack from this person and her husband has more power in the town (good friends with mayor). I have been to the Supt of Schools he agrees this woman has mental instability problems and that she is harassing me - yet no one has brought him anything he can fire her over.My life is miserable. What is my next step? Can I hire a lawyer over an issue like this? Many more details I have left out due to space. I was also told by the Superintendent to document all issues with her, I have.

Yes, you can hire a lawyer. Best advice is to get one from the town who is willing to take on the administration.
