Legal Question in Employment Law in Massachusetts

What does Commissions earned are due and payble through the last day of employme

When an employers policy states, ''Commissions earned are due and payble through the last day of employment.'' Does that mean I still collect commissions for weddings I booked for the months of December 2003 and beyond.

I appreciate your help. Please advise.

If the commissions have been paid by the last date of employment, they must be paid. If you can establish that you were let go because you were going to be entitled to substantial commissions after the date your employment ended, you may have a claim. You should consult an attorney.
